Terms of use
WishWhip makes small apps from what you describe and puts them on the web. It's free and invite only while we test it. The apps made for you are yours, and you can download their code. What you ask for has to follow our Acceptable use rules; we check apps before they go public, and we take down apps that break the rules. WishWhip is new and things may break, so don't rely on it for anything where a mistake could hurt someone.
Who we are
WishWhip ("we", "us") makes small, single-purpose apps from a description. These terms are the agreement between you and us about using it. They are written to be read: if anything is unclear, email us (help@wishwhip.app) and ask.
WishWhip is in testing
WishWhip is invite only while we test it, and it is free. Things will change, some days things will break, and we may pause building for a while to fix something.
If we ever stop running WishWhip, we'll email you at least 30 days before, so you can download the code of your apps. If we ever start charging, we'll tell you first, and nothing you have already made will be charged for.
Your account
You sign in with Google or with a code sent to your email address. Keep your sign-in to yourself: an account is for one person. You must be at least 16 years old. You are responsible for what is made from your account.
What you ask us to make
You describe an app, and AI models make it and check that it works. What you describe, and everything in the apps made from it, must follow our Acceptable use rules. Don't put other people's private details in what you describe.
Checks before an app goes public
Every app is checked automatically against our rules, when you describe it and again before it goes live. Until a few of your apps have been approved, a person on our side also looks at each one before it gets a public link. After that, your apps may go live once the automatic check passes, but an app that started as a copy of someone else's always gets a person's look.
We can ask for a change or decline to put an app live, and we'll tell you why. Our checks are about our rules, not a promise that an app is correct, complete or safe for any particular use.
Monthly limits
Each month you can make a limited amount: new apps and changes to them both use part of it. It resets on the 1st of each month (UTC). WishWhip shows you what's left, and we may change the limits. There are also daily limits, so that no single account can overload WishWhip.
Your apps and their code
The apps made for you are yours. As far as we're able to, we give you the rights to the code we make for them, and you can download the code of any of your apps, including one you deleted, unless we took it down. Some code in every app comes from open source libraries under their own licences, and those licences still apply.
So that we can run WishWhip, you let us store what you describe, make and check your apps, host them, show them to the people on our side who review apps, and keep copies as our Privacy policy describes.
The gallery
If you choose "Show it in the gallery" for a live app, anyone can see its name, description, address and picture in the gallery, and other WishWhip users can start their own copy of its code and description ("Remix"). Your name is not shown. You can turn this off at any time; copies others already made stay theirs. What people saved inside your app stays in their browsers and is never copied.
The people who use your apps
Anyone with an app's link can use it, without an account. You are responsible for what your app says and does to them. Don't use an app to collect passwords, payment details, health information or other sensitive details.
When we take apps down
We may take an app offline, remove it from the gallery, or close an account, without notice when we have to: if it breaks these terms or our Acceptable use rules, if we get a report or a legal request we believe is credible, or if it puts people or WishWhip at risk.
When we take down your app, we'll email you the reason, unless the law or someone's safety means we can't. If you think we got it wrong, reply to that email.
No guarantees
WishWhip and the apps it makes are provided as they are. They may have mistakes, stop working, or lose what was saved in them. Don't rely on them for anything where a mistake could hurt someone or cost serious money, such as medical, legal, financial or safety decisions. As far as the law allows, we give no warranties, written or implied, including that WishWhip or any app is fit for a particular purpose.
Limits on what we owe
As far as the law allows, we are not responsible for indirect or unforeseeable losses, lost profits or lost data, and the most we owe you for any claim about WishWhip is 50 US dollars. Some places don't allow these limits; where they don't, they apply as far as they can.
Ending
You can stop using WishWhip at any time. To delete your account, email us (help@wishwhip.app) from its address; the Privacy policy says what happens to your data. Deleting your account takes all your apps offline. We can close an account that breaks these terms.
Changes
We may update these terms. If a change matters, we'll email you before it applies. The date at the end of this page says when they last changed. Using WishWhip after a change means you accept it.
